Founded in 2005 by artist and designer Leigh Ann Prier. The purpose of the guild is to gather local Artists and Crafters of all skill levels and interests together in a creative atmosphere to share knowledge, provide education, and promote the art of Precious Metal Clay. What to expect:
During our meetings, fellow members exchange technical information, tips and tricks, favorite media and methods of inspiration. Members of the chapter who have experience in art forms other than PMC are invited to conduct demonstrations during meetings. Workshops and Special Events will be held periodically throughout the year to broaden our members' skill levels.
Our members are Silversmiths, Metalsmiths, Glass Artists, Wire Artists, Beaders, Polymer Clay Artists and more. (Some all of the above!)
Carol Harder has graciously offered meeting space at her Driving School. Carol has a Masters in Metalsmithing and brings a wealth of knowledge to our group.
Sondra Busch from Topeka, KS and Debra Weld from Lee's Summit, MO have been members.
