Tear Away Texture Technique
This month we'll learn a technique for creating low-relief texture plates using paper and polymer clay.
Created by Gwen Gibson and used extensively by Celie Fago, with this process, you can make a completely custom texture to use on your project.
Workshop led by member Jen Finley
NOTE: you can use any type of drawing, including your Zentangles!!

CLASSES: Where to learn in the Kansas City Metro Area

The purpose of the guild is to gather local Artists and Crafters of all skill levels and interests together in a creative atmosphere to share knowledge, provide education, and promote the art of Precious Metal Clay.What to Expect
During our meetings, fellow members exchange technical information, tips and tricks, favorite media and methods of inspiration. Members of the chapter who have experience in art forms other than PMC are invited to conduct demonstrations during meetings. Workshops and Special Events will be held periodically throughout the year to broaden our members' skill levels.Meetings are no longer than 2 hours. Some members enjoy dinner out BEFORE the meeting at 5pm - everyone is welcome.

Our members are Silversmiths, Metalsmiths, Glass Artists, Wire Artists, Beaders, Polymer Clay Artists and more. (Some all of the above!) Carol Harder has graciously offered meeting space at her Driving School. Carol has a Masters in Metalsmithing and brings a wealth of knowledge to our group. Sondra Busch from Topeka, KS and Debra Weld from Lee's Summit, MO have been members. Founded in 2005 by artist and designer Leigh Ann Prier. Membership Dues
Only $24.00 for one year and are payable in JANUARY. You may attend two FREE meetings as a guest member. If you wish to join, membership dues can be collected at any meeting. Dues are used to pay the cost of materials used in learning techniques at our meetings.How to Join
